The AS 940 Sherpa 4WD (STD) is a robust, high-power, ride-on mower designed for challenging terrain and bushy plants. A product of AS-Motor, this model boasts power, traction and an intelligent cutting system that can tackle steep slopes, rough ground and tall grass with confidence.

The ply is a 724cc twin-cylinder Briggs & Stratton engine developing up to 27 hp, with a hydrostatic transmission and permanent 4WD keeping the grip at the hillclimb, and controlled braking on descents. A 90 cm cutting width and adjustable (50–105 mm) cutting heights provide versatility in different mowing conditions.

Its performance cross-blade system wilts and microscopically mulches heavy growth —long grass around 1.5 m is no problem—and the mower deck “surfs” over uneven ground, preserving blades and terrain alike.

Constructed for stability and comfort, the Sherpa is responsible with its low center of gravity, differential lock, suspension seat and heavy-duty frame to make even long hours on the job safe as well as efficient.

Some form of riding mower or lawn tractor is really the best option, and overall this is a solid professional-grade solution for when standard ride-ons won’t quite cut it.
