Ideal for extreme terrain, the AS 940 Sherpa XL 4WD (Wide Wheel Base) is a heavy-duty ride-on mower designed to deliver power, stability and traction on steep slopes and rough ground. This makes XL variant take wider wheelbase, bigger tyres with higher ground clearance which allows for best performance in tough terrains like tall grass, bushes and rugged landscapes.

It is powered by a 724cc Briggs & Stratton V-twin engine (up to 27 hp) provides strong cutting and climbing performance, while geting support from hydrostatic transmission, permanent 4WD as well as brake on slopes for accurate control and safety braking.

The 90 cm cutting width with adjustable height of 80–135 mm allows the Sherpa XL to handle bushy vegetation up to 1.5 m high and achieve work rates of up to 5,500 m²/h.

And its cross-blade mulching system finely shreds grass while the “surfing” mower deck adjusts to uneven terrain, protecting both the machine and ground. Add to that the low centre of gravity, a differential lock and solid tubular frame, and the Sherpa XL made for safe, dependable work in some of the most rought mowing conditions around.
